Murphy's Law strikes :/

I can't say that the lead up to our holiday was wonderful and exciting.  If anything it was one of the most stressful times I have ever endured!

We had started planning this holiday about a year ago but we also had another plan in place; to sell up in Australia and move to Vanuatu.

Nothing was really happening on the house sale front so we just went along our merry way and kept planning the holiday.  Of course then the house we were living in sold a couple of weeks before we were due to fly out and the settlement would fall while we were in Europe, so that changed everything!  No longer were we just planning what to pack in our bags for the holiday but we also needed to pack our whole house and place all our belongings in storage, find a temporary home for Kylie and Axl and get all our affairs in order before we flew out!

We also needed to squeeze in a trip to Vanuatu to get the ball rolling on buying a business there that we could come ‘home’ to.

Then a few days before the flight our other house also went under contract so then we were rushing to the Lawyers to get all of our documents done for that property to settle while we were away as well!

Sunday March 4^th should have been a day of leisurely getting ready for our 8.45pm flight but ended up being a trip to the Sunshine Coast to drop Axl with Pauline, a catchup lunch with family I wouldn’t be seeing again for months and a final clean, mow and pool vacuum for the house before rushing to Amanda’s where our bags were to make sure we had everything we needed (turned out we didn’t but oh well) before being taken to the airport by Brock and meeting up with Mark and Christine to nut out some final details for the Vanuatu move while we waited to go through customs.

Add that to my dread over having to fly half way across the world and this holiday was the last thing I was looking forward to!
